ID Card-Residence Visa Linkage Procedures

  • Fill in the e-form at an Emirates ID authorized typing center or online.
  • Get medical examination at a preventive medicine center as per the applicant's domicile.
  • Go directly to the Emirates ID center annexed to the preventive medicine center for complete registration procedures.
  • Track residence issuance or renewal procedures.

+ An ID card holder is required to fill in a (renewal) e-form and present the old ID card at the typing center.

+ An ID card holder is required to visit the registration center annexed to the preventive medicine center upon renewal of residence and ID card for re-fingerprinting.

+ ID Card will not be ready for pick up until issuance of residency visa by relevant entity.

 

Required Documents

Upon filling in the e-form, the customer will receive an SMS setting the date and place of registration.

  • Typing Center: (Valid) original passport + Residence or entry visa.
  • Registration Center: Original passport + ID card registration e-form.

Fees

ID card issuance and renewal for residence (for each year of residence) AED 100
  • Categories exempted from fees (those to whom social security law applies – individuals with special needs and those suffering from autism).

Important Notes for Emirates ID Customers:

  • Make sure of the type of service required at the typing centers (new registration, renewal of ID card or replacement for lost or damaged card).
  • Should you choose the wrong service, you will be contacted to pay the due fees.
  • Make sure that your mobile phone number and PO Box in the registration form are correct.
  • The customer can select the way to receive his/her ID card, either through the PO Box or any Emirates Post office.
  • Make sure that all data inputted in the registration e-form are correct.
