The Higher Management Committee (HMC) of the Emirates Identity Authority held its regular meeting chaired by Dr. Eng. Ali Mohamed Al Khouri, Emirates ID Director General, with the participation of a number of executive directors.
The HMC discussed possible ways of cooperation with the National Bank of Abu Dhabi "NBAD" and studied some initiatives that can be implemented by Emirates ID and NBAD in near future. These initiatives include linking client's account number with ID number, using ID Card as the primary document for identification and documentation in all banking transactions and using e-Reader to electronically read ID details and verify the identity of ID Card holder.
The HMC urged all Emirates ID departments to coordinate work among them in order to facilitate progress of work and reach the desired goals.
