As part of its initiatives aiming at establishing the national identity, of which Arabic is the main component and the primary element, Emirates Identity Authority released the names of Arabic domain of its website. These names are:

http://الهوية.امارات/
http://بطاقة-الهوية.امارات/
The above domains have been activated and they will be used for purposes of redirection to Emirates ID website. They can be used for purposes of accessing Emirates ID website, making use of the provided services and following up related news and announcements.
H.E. Eng. Nasser Mohamed Al Mazrouei, ICT executive director, stressed that the new initiative comes in harmony with the media and communication strategy adopted by Emirates ID, where electronic publishing is one of its main initiatives.
Al Mazrouei explained that the website has become the main channel of effective communication with mass media and media specialists as well as a rich source of news updated on daily basis. This aims at communicating news and announcements to Emirates ID customers and website visitors.
ICT executive director expressed his hope that activating the Arabic domain would be an important addition for the mission and vision of Emirates ID to establish the National Identity. This enables people to access the website using Arabic characters. He referred that Emirates ID is one of the first federal authorities to register its website name in Arabic which uses .ae domain.
Al Mazrouei said that Emirates ID is keen on facilitating the access to the website for people who don't master English by using the new Arabic name of the website.
