Emirates ID to discuss the implementation of ID Applications with ADSIC

H.E. Dr. Eng. Ali Mohamed Al Khouri, Emirates ID Acting GM, stressed that Emirates ID is keen on implementation of the vision of supreme leadership and is committed to effectively contribute to the career of electronic conversion in the UAE. This is clear sign of paying due attention to time value and importance as well as saving time and effort through the implementation of electronic methods in achieving all types of transactions.

A meeting was held at Emirates ID Headquarters with Abu Dhabi Systems and Information Center "ADSIC". During that meeting Dr. Al Khouri met with H.E. Rashid bin Lahej Al Mansouri, ADSIC General Manager to discuss the mechanisms of implementing ID applications and inspect project stages including the timetable of each stage.

Al Khouri welcomes this strategic partnership which links Emriates ID with ADSIC, commending the excellent performance of the involved teams who work to contribute to the success of the agreed projects and achieve common goals related to ID applications.

Al Khouri referred that the strategic objective of the various projects of Emirates ID is to establish an infrastructure of ID management for individuals. This is not restricted to issuing the ID Card that may be an important method to make use of this infrastructure and its applications such as electronic legalization and notarization, e-signature and other applications provided by Emirates ID Card with its advanced and unique features.

During the meeting, Emirates ID gave a presentation on its strategies and main elements, its contribution to simplifying and facilitation of electronic services and transactions as well as facilitating innovative electronic services by governmental authorities in the UAE. The key components of the project have been reviewed and the services provided by e-service providers in the UAE have been checked.

The project is designed to provide many services that may facilitate electronic transaction at all levels in the UAE and provide the highest protection and confidentiality standards in electronic transaction for various strategic partners of Emirates ID. Such partners include a number of government authorities that may benefit from the services offered by this project.

The presentation explained that Emirates ID will build an e-legalization center at the country level to confirm the identification processes of e-services. A global system was chosen for the best PKIs used in the government and private sectors, in addition to choosing a world company to implement the project.

Al Khouri said that it is important to hold more joint meetings and specialized workshops to discuss all details and procedures as well as the phases required for the implementation of ID applications in order to meet the needs of ADSIC in this area.
